Netball Avatars & Certificates for team members
Type: Illustration, Character Design
Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
Overview:
Created for a middle school girls’ netball competition, this project included participation certificates for 12 teams and personalised avatar illustrations for the winning team.
Creative Approach:
Starting with hand-drawn sketches, I explored expressive poses and proportions in a light anime-inspired style. Each avatar was then digitally refined to maintain a playful yet cohesive team aesthetic. The characters were tailored to reflect the players' spirit and individuality. Type: Vinyl Record Cover Design
Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
Overview:
This self-initiated piece was inspired by Darcy’s Letter, a haunting piano composition by Dario Marianelli from the 2005 film Pride & Prejudice. The goal was to translate emotional storytelling into visual form, capturing the transition from tension to tenderness in the music and mirroring the evolving relationship between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy.
Creative Approach:
Drawing from 18th-century aesthetics, I handcrafted a pattern that merges Victorian damask with Chinese ornamental motifs, a nod to the era’s global elegance and romantic ideals. Symbolic flourishes, including architectural details and floral forms, represent the quiet presence of love amidst social rigidity and arranged marriages.
